What I do know is that I love to travel. I spend as much time as possible exploring new places, and I love to find unique places to visit. This is why I went to school for hospitality and tourism management, so that I could find a way to make a living while doing what I love. I don’t want to spend my time working in a corporate job, saving so that I can use my weekends to travel; I want a job where I can travel and help others to travel, too.
While I am trying to find my way into the industry, I wanted to start So The Adventure Continues so that I can help others learn about travel, but also so that I can learn more about traveling, too. As a recent graduate and an amateur traveler, I definitely don’t have all of the information that I could. (I am really horrible at geography-go figure). I love to learn about the world and different cultures, and as I learn more about it, I want to bring that knowledge forward.
Traveling is such an amazing thing because even if you’re just revisiting somewhere you’ve already been, you always learn something new. Traveling opens the mind and makes people more aware of what is happening around them. It makes people want to see the world and maybe even change the world for the better. It erases dividing lines between those who differ and creates friendships and peace. I hope that I can encourage just one person to put themselves out there and to see the benefits that travel can have.
I’m using this blog as a place where I can talk about what I do know about travel, and as a place to learn more about travel, and hopefully help some people along the way. My goal is just to inspire others to want to travel because traveling changes lives. It has definitely changed mine, and opened my mind to so many possibilities.
