Use Skyscanner to Search for Flights

Skyscanner is a great app for finding great deals on flights. It searches every airline, and every possible flight to find you the best priced flight out there. The best features are that you can search “anywhere” and “any time,” so if you’re super flexible, and just want to travel and save as much money as possible, then this is a great way to find good deals.

Buy Groceries with Ibotta

Join here!

I use Ibotta to save every week on my groceries! When you scan your receipt, they give you money back for items you bought. This is great if you’re already a couponer because you can stack these on top of the in store coupons! You can even link grocery loyalty cards, and pay using Ibotta. They even have discounts on liquor. Now, they even have online shopping that you can earn cash back on. According to Ibotta, the average user earns $150 per year!

Shop Online with Rakuten

Join here and earn $30!

Rakuten is an amazing tool for anyone who loves shopping online! Download their extension and you’ll never have to think twice again about saving money on your online purchases. Just wait to get your check in the mail, and save that money, honey! You can save on anything from clothes from Target to food from Thrive Market to hotel bookings on Expedia. Free cash back from travel? We love to see it!

Book Your Travel with Expedia Rewards

Expedia has a great rewards program, where you can earn points to book your travel. They have everything from flights to car rentals, hotels and attractions. Pretty much anything needed for travel can be booked through Expedia. Plus, when you book through the app, you can earn twice the points. I only booked one trip with them so far, and I already have $9 in rewards (and I didn’t even book that in the app. If I had, I would have $18.) Stack those savings by using Rakuten to get cash back.

Sell Clothes on Poshmark

Join here and use my code CAROLINA24 to get $10 off!

I have been selling clothes on Poshmark for years, and it is so easy! You just list your old brand name clothes, they take a small fee, and you send it out to your buyer! Poshmark is also a great place to find brand names clothes for cheap–good for the environment and good for your traveling wallet! People actually make a living using Poshmark, but casual users can make more than $50 a month with great items.

Save Money with Acorns

Join here and get $5!

Acorns is a great investment tool, and I use it as a savings account. Acorns rounds up your change and invests it for you! To get that savings up higher, you can also do a weekly, monthly, or whenever you want deposit of any amount of money. If you’re interested in investing, or are just looking for a cool way to save money, Acorns is a really great option!

  1. Such great tips! Whenever anyone asks me, as a regular traveler, how I have money to travel, I always tell them you have to be willing to put in some work. Saving doesn’t just “happen,” so I love all the relatively simple solutions you offer.

  2. These are all new to me with the exception of skyscanner and Expedia. I’m going to check the others out as I love to save money! More money to travel1

  3. Love Skyscanner! That’s my #1 go-to app! I haven’t heard of the other ones, I’ll have to check them out!
